What is ESSC?

The Scouts Canada Emergency Services Skills Camp is a training camp dedicated to Medical, Police, and Fire Venturers and Rovers in Canada.

Participants will have the opportunity to:

• Sign up for classes to learn new skills, including cross-training in different sections
• Practice your skills will high-fidelity scenarios, utilizing all three vocational branches to work together.
• Meet current first responders to ask about their careers, equipment, and tour their vehicles.
• Make connections with other Emergency Services Vocational scouting memmbers.
• Receive specialized training for Search and Rescue
• Have fun!

Registration for ESSC’25 is now closed.

Terms of Registration:

• Registration closes at 11:59 AM on September 26, 2025. After this time, no new registrations will be accepted.
• A deposit of $30 per participant will be due when you register. This deposit will be returned if for any reason we cannot run the camp, but is otherwise non-refundable.
• Payment will be by PayPal (allows use of all major credit cards) or e-transfer only. Address e-Transfers to finance@esscamp.ca. If you cannot use PayPal or e-transfer, please contact finance@esscamp.ca to discuss alternatives. PLEASE NOTE: PayPal charges a small fee for their service, which is in addition to your registration fees.
• We will inform you whether the camp has enough participants to run after registration closes on September 26, 2025.
• Groups who have registered by the deadline may increase or decrease their registered numbers by a maximum of 5 people until September 19th, 2025.
• The balance of your registration payment is due by 11:59 AM on September 26, 2025. No refunds will be issued after this time. PLEASE NOTE: If payment has not been received by September 26, 2025, we will CANCEL YOUR REGISTRATION.
• You will be required to supply us with a list of participant names no later than September 28, 2025.
• All Offers of Service, including youth (Venturers acting as an Offer of Service) must be volunteer ready and showing as active in MyScouts by the beginning of the camp. We will check your registration status on or around September 21st. PLEASE NOTE: Volunteers can renew their membership starting in May (both youth and adult members)
• Groups attending the camp are responsible for making sure all participants have an active registration with Scouts Canada. Participant registrations are normally valid until December 31st. Volunteers can renew their membership starting in May.
• We regret that we cannot accommodate all special diets. The registration form has a place for you to request special dietary accommodations; we will contact you to confirm whether or not your needs can be met.
